Dr. Shila Yazdani
Many patients from the Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Alexandria areas choose cosmetic and neuromuscular dentist Shila Yazdani, D.D.S. because of her top-notch training and experience in implant, neuromuscular, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Yazdani obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. She then attended Howard University, where she pursued her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree, which was followed by post-doctoral training in implantology and TMJ disorder treatment. Dr. Shila Yazdani also received post-doctoral instruction at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Training (Las Vegas Institute), which provides training in advanced, comprehensive cosmetic dentistry that most dental schools lack. Dr. Yazdani is one of only 3,000 dentists worldwide to have received post-doctoral Las Vegas Institute instruction. Currently, Dr. Yazdani regularly attends continuing education courses, including courses at Las Vegas Institute, to remain at the top of her field.
Dr. Michael M. Mortazie
Our Washington, D.C. practice is pleased to offer the services of cosmetic dentist Michael M. Mortazie, D.D.S. Dr. Mortazie obtained his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from George Mason University. Next, he attended Howard University, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and underwent post-doctoral training in surgical and prosthetic dental implantology. At present, Dr. Michael M. Mortazie is a leader in the fields of neuromuscular, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. He has also completed a mini residency with Dr. Steven Olmos in orthopedic dentistry. To remain abreast of ongoing developments in dentistry, he regularly completes numerous continuing education courses, including training in neuromuscular and orthopedic dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute.

Kiersten Persoff, Patient Care Coordinator
Kiersten Persoff has worked as Revive’s patient care coordinator since 2005. She takes pride in helping Drs. Yazdani and Mortazie create an atmosphere that is inviting and relaxing for our patients. She also helps provide seamless service in scheduling appointments, coordinating financial arrangements, processing claims, performing administrative tasks, and answering patients’ questions and concerns. A native Floridian, Kiersten moved to D.C. several years ago and has since fallen in love with the city. She lives with her two furry friends, Groovy and Suki.
Lilija Slokvenko, Clinical Dental Assistant
Lilija (“Lilly”) Slokvenko is Revive’s clinical assistant. Born and raised in Lithuania, Lilly came to the U.S. 14 years ago, and she has worked with Dr. Yazdani for the past four years. Lilly’s extensive Las Vegas Institute training for neuromuscular and cosmetic dentistry and her commitment to providing excellent care and total comfort for our patients makes Lilly an asset to our team. Lilly is happily married and is raising three beautiful children.
